Hunt for Astronomy: what's worth the tomes

Every item in the First Hunt for Astronomy trove, where else it drops, what it goes for on the market board, and a straight call on whether the event is the right way to get it. Tick what you want and it keeps a running tomestone total.

The short version

Most of this shop is stuff you can get elsewhere. The event matters for one mount, a couple of oddballs, and a few cheap items that sell for real gil.

FOMO check

  • The uolon horn comes back. The official page says it returns in the Second Hunt for Astronomy, and tokens from this hunt carry over. Teamcraft's data also shows a second-hunt listing that sells tokens for 30 Astronomy II tomes, so missing a minimog week isn't fatal (datamined, could change).
  • MGP card, both special maps and the job mastery prisms are trove regulars. They're also stocked in the "previous" and "past" irregular tomestone exchanges, so there's no rush.
  • Genuinely trove-only right now: the uolon horn (until the Second Hunt) and the Mameshiba Neckerchief. Everything else, including the Ananta and Kotokaze cards, has a permanent Triple Triad or NPC source.
  • Tradeable trove items get flooded. Dhalmel whistles and emerald bardings are already listing well under their recent median. If you're buying to sell, sell early.
